Officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI, careless driving and suspended driver’s license
1 DUI and no headlights
1 DUI and obstructing traffic
1 discharging firearms in city limits
1 domestic violence-simple assault and possession of drug paraphernalia
1 minor in possession of alcohol
1 public drunk
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and disturbing the peace
1 possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and K9 search
1 possession of a schedule 1 drug
1 possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, no insurance, expired tag and suspended driver’s license
1 shoplifting and trespassing
1 simple assault
1 warrant served
1 warrant served, speeding and no insurance
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated four wrecks and the following reports:

University Police Department investigated two wrecks and the following reports:

3 ambulances needed
1 possession of alcohol by person under 21

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
12/6 – 20:01 – Phi Mu house – using a hair iron activated the room smoke detector
12/7 – 23:49 – 1020 Washington Ave. – smoke detector malfunction
12/8 – 07:06 – Canterbury Crest Apts. – smoke detector malfunction
12/8 – 10:17 – 319 Murray Lane – public service to see if pilot light went out on the heater
12/8 – 12:10 – 1908 Anderson Road – chest pains – monitored until EMS arrived
12/8 – 18:44 – Pi Kappa Alpha house – fire alarm malfunction
