OPD Arrests Getaway Driver From Buffalo Wild Wings Shooting
The Oxford Police Department arrested the driver of the getaway car that left the scene of a shooting at Buffalo Wild Wings two weeks ago.
According to OPD, officers responded to BWW in Oxford at about 2 p.m. for a panic alarm. Once on the scene, the officers learned there had been a shooting outside of the business.
During the course of the investigation, officers learned that the suspect, Bobby Parks, 22, originally of Sarah, had been in an altercation the night before at Buffalo Wild Wings where he was an employee. The next day he was outside of the business and mistook a patron on the patio for the employee he had the altercation with the night before.
Parks was picked up by an unknown person in a silver BMW. As they were leaving, Parks fired approximately six shots at the person on the balcony; however, the shots missed their target and no one was injured.
Parks was arrested later that day and charged with shooting into a dwelling and booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center on a $200,000 bond.
As the investigation continued, a warrant was issued for the arrest of BParis Parks, 20, also orginally from Sarah and more recently living in Batesville, who allegedly drove the BMW away from the scene.
The Desoto County Sheriff’s Department took Parks into custody on Tuesday during a traffic stop. BParis was transported to the Detention Center and charged with drive-by shooting. He was booked on a $50,000 bond.
According to OPD, the two men are brothers.
