Lady Chargers Set Ninth Annual Golf Tournament

Proceeds to support Lady Chargers Softball Team

The Oxford High School Lady Chargers Softball Team will host their ninth annual, 4-Man Scramble Golf Tournament at The Country Club of Oxford on Saturday, August 3, with a start time of 9 a.m.

Funds from the tournament’s entry fees and business sponsorships help the Oxford High School softball team with the purchase of additional garments and supplies for team players.

“We have an outstanding support base from past tournaments, especially from local businesses and community supporters,” said Steve Blackmon, head coach of the OHS Lady Chargers Softball team. “We appreciate the valuable community support that has created a support system for our girls’ softball team.”

The 4-Man Scramble will include lunch after an 18-hole round, with the first three winning teams claiming cash prizes such as gift certificates to The Country Club of Oxford’s pro-shop.

All participating players will receive an Oxford High School gift mug for their participation.

The Country Club of Oxford is located at 3888 Majestic Oaks Drive in Oxford.
