Man Arrested for Shooting at Oxford Buffalo Wild Wings Aimed at Wrong Person
An employee of Buffalo Wild Wings in Oxford was charged with shooting into a dwelling after he allegedly shot at the wrong person while they were sitting on the patio of the popular wing place.
According to the Oxford Police Department, at about 2 p.m. they responded to Buffalo Wild Wings for a panic alarm call. Once on scene, officers learned there had been a shooting outside of the business.
During the course of the investigation, officers learned that the suspect, Bobby Parks, 22, originally of Sarah, had been in an altercation the night before at Buffalo Wild Wings where he was an employee. The next day he was outside of the business and mistook a patron on the patio for the employee he had the altercation with the night before.
Parks was picked up by an unknown person in a silver BMW. As they were leaving, Parks fired approximately six shots at the person on the balcony; however, the shots missed their target and no one was injured.
OPD officers located Parks shortly after where he was taken into custody without incident. The weapon was also recovered. Parks was arrested and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked for shooting into a dwelling. He was given a bond of $200,000 by a Justice Court Judge.
According to Parks’ Facebook page, he attended the University of Mississippi but it was unclear if he is currently enrolled as a student.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible, according to OPD.
