Ole Miss and No. 11 Auburn sustained a tight half in the first 30 minutes of action. The Tigers hold a slight lead at 10-7.

Ole Miss’ defense came out strong in the first half as they kept Auburn out of the end zone until late in the second quarter.

Auburn had trouble getting on the scoreboard in the first 15-minutes of action. The Tigers missed two field goals from 42 and 49 yards.

Freshman quarterback John Rhys Plumlee started the game and went 4-for-9 in the air for 29 yards. The Hattiesburg native has carried the ball 11 times for 38 yards and a touchdown.

Matt Corral shared duties with Plumlee in the half throwing for 13 yards.

Ole Miss continued its unfortunate streak of injuries. In the opening quarter, Rebels Ben Brown and Scottie Phillips went down on back-to-back plays.

The Rebels got on the scoreboard in the final minute of the half after a 55 yard punt return by Elijah Moore.

Ole Miss gained a mere 129 yards in the half. The Tigers gained 315 with 237 yards through the air.
