As the Halloween season comes to a close, hundreds gathered outside the Tupelo BancorpSouth Arena Friday morning eagerly awaiting the arrival of President Donald J. Trump as the town hosts one of his “Keep America Great Again” rallies.
The president is slated to speak in front of the crowd at 7 p.m. However, his supporters began lining the arena’s parking lot as early as 7 a.m. Friday morning.
Many of his supporters are hailing from across Mississippi with others crossing state lines to have a chance to hear the president speak on the upcoming governor election along with his plans to remain in the Oval Office.
Mike Gorski, a native of Tennessee, said he chose to attend the rally to support Trump because he is the best president the country has ever had.
“[Trump has] fixed the economy, jobs, healthcare, border wall… everything,” Gorski said.

The rally comes on the heels of the U.S. House of Representatives passing a resolution to open the impeachment inquiry of the president Thursday. However, it did not deter Trump’s base.
Gorski said even if the House was to pass articles of impeachment, the Senate would never convict.
“It’s absolutely ridiculous,” he said. “It’s dead on arrival.”
In the mix of the Trump crowd, millennials and generation z supporters also gathered with anticipation of seeing the president speak on his future agenda.
Kain and Kailie Bertino, brother and sister, both said they are attending Friday’s rally to see what his next plans are for the country. Kailie Bertino said it is important to vote, especially as a young person, because if you do not agree with an elected official a vote could place them out of office.
“Speak your mind,” Kailie Bertino said. “If you don’t like someone that’s in there, at least go vote and try to not have them in there.”
The brother and sister both said one of the main reasons they align with the president was the fact that Trump is not afraid to speak his mind.
“He just doesn’t care what other people think,” Kailie Bertino said.
Kain Bertino said there is not a single thing the president could do that would sway him from voting for Trump.
“He’s already got my vote,” he said.

I guess this makes Oxford second-rate. We only got Little Donald to come here.
