Rebels Find Momentum After Gridlocked First Half

Ole Miss and Texas A&M matched well in the first half at the Vaught as the Aggies took a 10-7 advantage going into the locker room.
Texas A&M got on the scoreboard early with a field goal off the boot of Seth Small on their second position of the game.
Ole Miss answered a field goal with a 69 yard dash by freshman running back Jerrion Ealy. Ealy touched the ball six times for a total of 82 yards in the half.
Coach Mike McIntyre’s defense made it difficult for Kellen Mond and the Aggies. The Landshark defense forced Mond to throw two interceptions and the defense got home to the quarterback three times for sacks.
The Rebels used both John Rhys Plumlee and Matt Corral in the half. Plumlee went 3-for-8 in the air for 28 yards. The Hattiesburg native carried the ball seven times for 46 yards.
Corral attempted two passes.
The Aggies were led on the ground by Isaiah Spiller with 12 touches for 49 yards.
Ole Miss gained a total of 170 yards in the half with 142 on the ground and 28 in the air.
