Oxford Police Department issued 30 tickets, investigated 11 wrecks and the following reports:

2 disturbing the peace complaints
2 domestic disturbances

1 harassing phone call
2 improper parking complaints
1 larceny
2 lost properties
1 other agency assist
1 simple assault
4 suspicious activities
2 suspicious people
1 suspicious vehicle
Officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI and careless driving
1 DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance and speeding
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to dim headlights
1 possession of schedule 4 drug, possession of marijuana in intent to sell and speeding
1 warrant served
1 warrant served and other agency assists
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department made one arrest for child support and investigated the following reports:
1 agency assist
1 court detail
2 disturbances
1 follow-up
2 information
1 malicious mischief
2 scams
4 service calls
1 transport
1 unauthorized use of a vehicle
University Police Department made no arrests, investigated three wrecks and the following reports:
1 disturbance
2 ambulances due to intoxicated people
1 fraud
1 larceny
1 suspicious person
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
11:23 a.m. – 425 Van Buren area – smell of natural gas – nothing found
12:13 p.m. – University Ave. / Ramp to 7 – truck overturned leaking fuel – FD cleaned up the area with oil dry
6:10 p.m. – The Connection – smell of gas – nothing found
8:15 p.m. – BMH – steam in the sterilizing room activated the smoke detector
