Oxford Police Department issued 10 tickets, investigated seven wrecks and the following reports:

4 motorist assists
1 other agency assist

5 suspicious people
1 suspicious vehicle

4 welfare checks
Officers made the following arrests:
1 possession of drug paraphernalia
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and tint violation
1 warrant served and one headlight
1 warrant served and possession of drug paraphernalia
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department made one arrest for DUI and investigated the following reports:
1 animal complaint
1 civil matter
2 disturbances
1 grand larceny
3 informational reports
1 petty theft
1 road obstruction
2 service calls
1 suspicious activity
3 service process
University Police Department made no arrests, investigated 1 wreck and the following reports:
1 fire – false alarm
3 harassments
1 simple assault
2 ambulances requested dude to intoxicated people
1 disorderly conduct
1 suspicious person
1 fake ID
1 possession of alcohol
1 suspicious vehicle
1 disturbance
Officers made the following arrests:
2 public drunks
1 driving without headlights and no driver’s license
1 fake ID
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
9:27 a.m. – University Airport – fuel truck leaking – stood by while they fixed the leak
1:04 p.m. – Beagle Bagel West Jackson – alarm system malfunction
1:10 p.m. – University Airport – stood by while employees offloaded fuel from the leaking truck
2:20 p.m. – BMH dining room – testing the alarm system
2:31 p.m. – Mississippi Federal Credit Union – employees accidentally activated the general fire alarm
5:33 p.m. – State Veterans Home – general fire alarm malfunction
6:00 p.m. – Minor Hall – moking dryer – excessive dirty lint screen
10:21 p.m. – 9 CR 3069 – someone fell off the roof- first aid was provided and followed personal vehicle to ER – no ambulance was available
12:37 a.m. – Khayat Law Center – an air handling unit smoke detector malfunction
