Oxford Police Department issued 93 tickets, investigated 20 wrecks and the following reports:

15 disturbing the peace complaints
5 improper parking complaints

2 lost property reports
1 malicious mischief
4 motorist assists

Officers made the following arrests:
3 DUIs
1 DUI and speeding
1 DUI, no insurance and noise violation
1 disturbing the peace
1 domestic violence simple assault
1 failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, resisting arrest, no driver’s license, no insurance and one headlight
1 malicious mischief
4 minors in possession of alcohol
1 minor in possession of alcohol and fake ID
1 possession of drug paraphernalia
4 public drunks
1 reckless driving and speeding
1 shoplifting
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated two wrecks and the following reports:
1 simple assault
6 agency assists
5 alarms
2 residential burglaries (Hwy 310, Rd 4070)
2 civil matters
2 disturbances
1 domestic violence
5 follow up
1 harassment
3 information
1 juvenile complaint
3 malicious mischief
1 noise complaint

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
9/27 – 7:35 a.m. – Stockard Hall outside room 302 – smoke detector malfunction
9/27 – 10:12 a.m. – Tru by Hilton 97 Ed Perry Blvd. – call canceled
9/27 – 11:50 a.m. – 1100 Tyler Ave. – doing inspection activated a fire alarm
9/27 – 1:17 p.m. – 806 Royal Oaks – call canceled
9/27 – 10:58 p.m. – Mississippi Federal Credit Union – alarm panel said there was a dirty smoke detector
9/28 – 5:58 a.m. – BMH – someone accidentally activated a fire alarm pull station
9/28 – 8:24 a.m. – 302 Hwy. 7 North – cooking activated a smoke detector
9/28 – 9:57 a.m. – White Oak Lane – car fire – FD extinguished the fire
9/28 – 12:40 p.m. – University Ave. / Hwy 7 – bike rider vs. vehicle – FD checked for injuries and monitored until EMS arrived
9/28 – 4:25 p.m. – Natural Products – cutting material activated a smoke detector
9/28 – 11:21 p.m. – Phi Mu house room 19 – smoke detector malfunction
9/29 – 4:54 a.m. – The Chancellor House Hotel and Spa – cooking activated a smoke detector
9/29 – 11:21 a.m. – The Blake – called FD to come and reset and alarm
9/29 – 11:36 a.m. – The Inn at Ole Miss – cleaning activated a smoke detector
9/29 – 12:39 p.m. – 211 Powers Drive – call canceled
9/29 – 5:03 p.m. – State Veterans Home – heat detector malfunction
9/29 – 7:26 p.m. – 309 South 18th Street – assisted OPD by extricating a subject who jump into a concrete ditch
9/29 – 9:08 p.m. – Vaught Hemingway Stadium – South End Zone fire pump malfunction
9/30 – 2:48 a.m. – 546 Wedgewood Dr. – living room smoke detector malfunction
9/30 – 5:32 a.m. – Hwy 30 East – wreck with extrication
9/30 – 6:27 a.m. – St. John’s Catholic Church – female with high heart rate – monitored until EMS arrived
