From school chants to the Walk of Champions, the Grove is known as the pre-party of the Ole Miss game day experience.

It can be argued that tents are essential in this Ole Miss tradition. Sometimes, having a tent to go to can really make or break the Grove experience.

For incoming freshmen, transfer students, and visitors alike, finding a place to experience the Grove can be difficult; however, Hottytoddy.com has compiled a “Game Day Survival Guide” for those who might not know where to begin.

Here is a list of places to make anyone feel right at home on game day:

Everybody’s Tent

Hosted by the Associated Student Body, this tent is all about connecting with fellow students. Located right in front of the Ole Miss Student Union, this tent has stickers, food and fun for everyone. Open to all, this is a great way to meet and connect with peers and community members alike.

P.S. “I am a Rebel” stickers can be found here, as well.

The Zebra Tent

This is one of the most well-known tents that welcomes everyone during gameday. Provided by Lantz and Jane Foster, the tent can be found near the top of the Walk of Champions and is hard to miss with the bold zebra design. The Fosters welcome all Ole Miss fans.

School Tents

Both the School of Journalism and the School of Engineering are hosting tailgating events this Saturday. Many departments host their own tents throughout the football season. These may not happen every weekend, but they are a great way to connect with people within a student’s respected school when they do come around on gameday.

Town Tents

Ole Miss fans travel county and state lines to cheer on the Rebels. It is known that many fans host tents from various towns and cities. Whether from Mississippi or out of state, there is bound to be a tent for any student’s hometown or state.

Coca-Cola Fan Fest

Opening three hours before the game starts, Coca-Cola sets up inflatables, refreshments, and loads of snacks in front of the Pavillion. It is plenty of fun and open to all.

The Square

The Square is also pretty lively on game day, especially in the hours before everyone piles into the Vaught. There are plenty of amazing bars and restaurants to get the day started or to watch the game if avoiding the bustling stadium.

Remember for the upcoming game the Walk of Champions begins at 12:45 p.m. and the Pride of the South performs at the Grove stage at 1:40 p.m.

Ole Miss plays Southeastern Louisiana at 3 p.m. Saturday.
