Rebels QB Matt Corral Tabbed SEC Freshman of the Week

Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral was named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week by the league office on Monday, after a 31-17 victory over Arkansas.
The Ventura, California native completed 16-of-24 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns in his first career SEC start. He also carried the ball for 46 yards.
Corral set a career-high in attempts (24), completions (16), passing yards (246) and rushing attempts (10). It was the second time in his career to throw for two TDs in a game. Corral’s 13.56 yards per completion ranks second in the SEC and 31st in the nation.
The Rebels will return to the Vaught on Saturday as they play host to the Southeastern Louisiana Lions. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. on SEC Alternate.
