On Tuesday, the Ole Miss softball team announced its eight-game fall schedule and began setting its sights on the path to Oklahoma City.
Head Coach Mike Smith’s club will host seven exhibition games at the Ole Miss Softball Complex. Admission to all the games is free and open to the public.
Ole Miss will take the diamond first against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on Sept. 22 before playing seven games in the month of October. Then, they’ll take on a doubleheader at home against UAB and Memphis Oct. 6.
The lone road game of the fall will be on Oct. 13 – a matchup with Troy in Birmingham, Alabama. Ole Miss will then play North Alabama on Oct. 18 and Mississippi Valley State on Oct. 23. The 2019 fall schedule wraps up on Oct. 26 with another doubleheader against Delta State and Jones College at the Ole Miss Softball Complex.

Last season, the Rebels’ run came up short of making it to the Women’s Softball College World Series in Oklahoma City when they were eliminated by the Arizona Wildcats in the Super Regionals. Ole Miss finished with a 41-20 overall record and a fifth-place finish in the SEC with a 13-10 mark.
