A former Ole Miss student accused of killing a female student will receive a bond hearing next Thursday, Aug. 22 at 9 a.m., the defendant’s lawyer Tony Farese confirmed to Hottytoddy.com.
Brandon Theesfeld, 21, of Fort Worth, Texas, was officially charged with murdering Alexandria “Ally” Kostial, of St. Louis, Missouri, on July 23. Following the ruling, Lafayette County Circuit Court Judge Andrew Howorth granted the defense and prosecutors time to work out a date for a bond hearing.
Farese said the firm will present an “appropriate bond” on Theesfeld’s behalf at the Lafayette County Courthouse that morning.
Kostial’s body was found near Sardis Lake in Harmontown, a town north of Oxford in Lafayette County, Saturday, July 21. According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy making a routine patrol found her body.
Lafayette County Coroner Rocky Kennedy confirmed to Hottytoddy.com that she died of multiple gunshot wounds, though the full autopsy has not yet been released.
A motive for the murder has not yet been released by investigators. According to friends, the two had known each other for several years.
