Oxford Police Department issued 16 tickets, investigated two wrecks and the following reports:

1 credit card fraud
1 disturbing the peace
1 malicious mischief
3 scams
5 suspicious activities
2 suspicious people
2 suspicious vehicles
2 trespassing complaints
1 vehicle search
2 welfare checks

Officers made the following arrests:
1 disorderly conduct
1 DUI, driving on a suspended license and no insurance
1 suspended driver’s license, no insurance and no seat belt
1 warrant served

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department made no arrests, investigated four wrecks and the following reports:

1 disturbance
1 follow-up
3 informational reports
1 reckless driving
8 service calls
1 suspicious person
1 suspicious vehicle
3 transports
2 welfare checks

University Police Department made one arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia and investigated the following reports:
1 welfare check
1 harassing phone calls
1 harassing email

Oxford Fire Department responded at 1:47 p.m. to 403 Van Buren for the smell of gas. Centerpoint Energy was working on gas lines in the area. No gas readings were detected.
