League of Women Voters to Host Several Candidate Forums
The League of Women Voters Oxford/North Mississippi will be facilitating several candidate forums for the upcoming primary elections.
The “Listen, Learn, Vote” forums will kick off tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Taylor Community Center for candidates running for District 3 supervisor.
All members of the community are encouraged to attend and participate.
More than 40 candidates are involved in contested county races. In the races for county supervisors, the forums will be held within each district to encourage community attendance.
These moderated forums will focus on allowing candidates in contested primary elections to make a brief timed presentation of their positions, followed by questions from the audience.
