Kinne was terminated by the Oxford Board of Aldermen Tuesday night during an executive session at their regular meeting, according to the OPD.

Kinne was arrested Monday and charged with Clayton’s murder. Few details have been released in how Clayton was killed. Her body has been sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Jackson for an autopsy.

OPD held a press release Tuesday announcing Kinne’s arrest.

Kinne, who has worked at OPD for four years, was allegedly involved with Clayton.

A bond hearing was set for Wednesday but was postponed until next week.

He remains at Panola County Jail on no bond.
