The following reports were made May 3-5, 2019, by city and county law enforcement agencies, unless otherwise indicated.

Oxford Police Department issued 52 tickets, investigated 22 wrecks and the following reports:
3 911 hang-ups
17 alarms
2 animal complaints
1 burglary
8 careless drivings
3 civil matters
1 code enforcement
1 disorderly conduct
10 disturbing the peace complaints
7 domestic disturbance disturbances
2 harassing phone calls
3 improper parking complaints
1 larceny
1 lost property
3 malicious mischief complaints
2 other agency assists
1 recovered property complaints
1 scam
11 suspicious activities
3 suspicious people
2 suspicious vehicles
1 trespassing
2 utility calls
1 vehicle search
11 welfare checks

OPD officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI
4 for DUI and careless driving
1 DUI and simple assault
1 domestic violence with simple assault and fake ID
1 failure to comply
1 fake ID
1 malicious mischief and domestic disturbance
2 minors in possession of alcohol
1 minor in possession of alcohol, fake ID and careless driving
1 noise violation
1 possession of drug paraphernalia, one headlight and driving while license suspended and fake ID
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license suspended
1 possession of marijuana with intent and one headlight and no insurance
1 possession of marijuana in vehicle and possession of schedule 1 drug
1 public drunk
1 public drunk, disturbing the peace and trespassing
1 public drunk, fake ID and failure to comply
1 public drunk, disturbing the peace and trespassing
1 public drunk, fake ID and failure to comply
1 public drunk, fake ID and malicious mischief
1 suspended driver’s license and seat belt violation
1 warrant served

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated 10 wrecks and the following reports:
8 agency assists
2 alarms
5 animal complaints
1 residential burglary (Stonebridge Road)
5 disturbances
2 domestic violence complaints
2 follow-ups
1 grand larceny
6 informational reports
1 noise complaint
1 petty theft
7 reckless driving complaints
4 suspicious activities
2 suspicious people
3 suspicious vehicles
3 transports
2 vandalism complaints
2 welfare concerns
2 stranded motorist

Deputies made the following arrests:
1 DUI 1st, no insurance and possession of marijuana
3 contempt warrants
1 possession of a controlled substance
1 domestic violence with simple assault

University Police Department investigated six wrecks and the following reports:
2 disturbances
3 suspicious person
1 suspicious vehicle
1 intoxicated person
3 ambulances needed
1 fraud
1 harassment

Oxford Fire Department reports will be unavailable until May 6.
5/3 – 11:12 a.m.- Red-Med Clinic – smoke detector beeping – low battery
5/3 – 3:07 p.m. – 611 Commerce Parkway – someone smoking activated a smoke detector
5/3 – 5:31, 6:21 & 8:41 p.m. – Hedleston Hall – first-floor smoke detector malfunction
5/3 – 7:32 p.m. – City Grocery – patient fell – provided 1st aid until EMS arrived
5/4 – 12:36 p.m. – 8000 Archive Bldg. H – third-floor elevator smoke detector malfunction
5/4 – 4:15 p.m. – Highway 7 North – wreck – no entrapment – assisted EMS getting patient loaded in the ambulance
5/5 – 2:06 a.m. – 103 Farview – difficulty breathing and chest pains – provided oxygen and monitored until EMS arrived
5/5 – 5:53 a.m. – Barnard Hall area – transformer sparking – stood by for Physical Plant to repair
5/5 – 4:53 p.m. – 409 Country Club – call canceled
5/5 – 10:28 p.m. – Sky Mart – medical call – provided first-aid and stood by for EMS
5/5 – 11:59 p.m. – Domino’s – smell of smoke call – nothing found
