The following reports were made April 12-14, 2019, by city and county law enforcement agencies, unless otherwise indicated.

Oxford Police Department issued 62 tickets, investigated 27 wrecks and the following reports:
2 911 hang-ups
23 alarms
4 ambulance assists
2 animal complaints
1 burglary
4 careless driving complaints
1 civil matter
19 disturbing the peace complaints
2 domestic disturbances
1 identity theft
3 improper parking complaints
2 lost property reports
2 malicious mischief complaints
1 motorist assists
1 property damage
1 scam
10 suspicious activities
4 suspicious people
1 vehicle search
8 welfare checks

OPD officers made the following arrest:
1 burglary
1 DUI
1 DUI, suspended driver’s license and driving the wrong way on a one-way road
1 DUI, fake ID and possession of marijuana in a vehicle
1 failure to comply
1 minor in possession of alcohol
1 no driver’s license
4 public drunks
2 for public drunk and fake ID
1 for public drunk and disorderly conduct
2 warrants served

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated seven wrecks and the following reports:
1 simple assault
4 agency assists
6 alarms
3 animal complaints
1 auto burglary
5 civil matters
1 death
6 disturbances
2 domestic violence
2 harassment
1 information
1 malicious mischief
1 noise complaint
1 public drunk
2 reckless driving
2 road obstruction
10 service calls
1 suspicious activity
2 suspicious vehicles
5 traffic complaints
1 transport
2 trespassing
2 vandalism
5 welfare concerns

Deputies made the following arrests:
1 writ to take custody
1 careless driving
1 public drunk
1 possession of drug paraphernalia
1 contempt warrant

University Police Department investigated three wrecks and the following reports:
1 intoxicated person
3 EMS due to intoxicated persons
2 suspicious persons
1 disturbing the peace
1 larceny
1 vandalism

Officers made the following arrests:
2 for public drunk
1 public drunk and possession of beer by a person under 21
1 possession of drug paraphernalia

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
4/12 – 7:30 a.m. – 727 Arenburg Lane – electrical smell coming from the dryer – turned breaker off to dryer
4/12 – 12:21 p.m. – The Connection – assisted EMS with a patient
4/12 – 8:53 p.m.- 2010 Brandywine Drive – power line arcing
4/12 – 8:54 p.m.- Martin Hall – medical call
4/12 – 11:57 p.m. – ATO house – someone discharged a fire alarm as a prank
4/13 – 12:59 p.m. – Tri Delta House – heavy spray of hair spray activated the smoke detector
4/13 – 1:12 p.m. – Fat Possum Records – subject passed out (possibly drunk) – EMS on scene at the same time
