Oxford Police Department issued 38 tickets, investigated 12 wrecks and the following reports:

Officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI, careless driving, speeding and no insurance
1 DUI and one headlight
1 expired tag and tint violation
1 possession of a schedule 1 drug, possession of a schedule 4 drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and petty theft
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding
1 public drunk and fake ID
1 warrant served
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department reports were unavailable this afternoon.
University Police Department investigated twos wreck and investigated the following reports:
1 suspicious vehicle
1 vehicle burglary
1 harassment
1 larceny
Oxford Fire Department reports were unavailable Wednesday.
8:49 a.m. – Ray Brothers – smell of gas – small parts cleaner spill – no leak
10:44 a.m. – ATO house No. 11 – smoke detector malfunction
1:38 a.m. – 265 North Lamar – demo of building activated the fire alarm system
1:54 & 2:24 p.m. – High Cotton Condos 3rd floor – installing a cable activated the alarm system
2:49 p.m. – Delta Psi house – kitchen staff activated the fire alarm
5:08 p.m. – 241 St. Andrews Circle – chest pains
6:55 p.m. – Belk Ford – employee backed into a power pole causing power lines to fall on several vehicles – no fire
9:10 p.m. – Townhouse Suites by Marriott – sprinkler system activation due to a malfunction
10:45 p.m. – Canterbury Crest No. 117 – cooking activated a smoke detector
11:39 p.m. – SMW Manufacturing – duct detector malfunction
