City of Oxford Grants Free Parking on Square as Christmas Gift
The City of Oxford granted free parking on The Square as a Christmas present according to Tweet by the city’s Twitter account.
Parking traditionally costs $1.25 per hour for curbside spaces around The Square; however, beginning Dec. 18 through New Year’s Day the spaces will be free for patrons beginning at 5 p.m.
The parking meters will also be free all day on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Usually, these curbside spaces—located along the main roads leading to The Square—charge patrons during the hours of 10 a.m to midnight, Monday through Saturdays excluding holidays, Sundays and football game days.
