Felony Arrests Reported by Oxford Police
The Oxford Police Department made three felony arrests recently for malicious mischief, credit card fraud and DUI-fourth offense.
Woman face fraud charge
According to reports, on April 4, 2018, a man reported to OPD that someone had used his credit card without his permission. During the investigation, it was determined that Kyra Bramlett, 32, of Oxford was the suspect.
Bramlett, who was serving time for previous credit card fraud charges, was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where she was given a $15,000 bond.
Man charged with 4th DUI
On Nov. 9, police officers conducted a traffic stop for careless driving on Jessie Booker, 54. During the stop, officers suspected Booker was driving under the influence. A DUI investigation followed and officers discovered Booker had three prior DUI convictions.
Booker was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was charged with DUI-fourth offense and careless driving and given a $15,000 bond.
Kicking car leads to arrest
A man was arrested Thursday and charged with felony malicious mischief for kicking someone’s vehicle.
On Nov. 7, officers responded to a report of malicious mischief. The caller claiming they were having an argument with Therron Blackburn, 19, of Batesville when Blackburn allegedly kicked the victim’s vehicle repeatedly causing damage to the vehicle.
He was taken the detention center and booked on a $2,500 bond.
