Former Ole Miss basketball coach Andy Kennedy has a new job in the world of sports. The SEC Network released news Tuesday, Oct. 16 that Kennedy will be an analyst for college basketball across the ESPN and SEC Networks for the 2018-19 season.

Kennedy joined the studio team as a analyst during the 2018 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament as a precursor to his new role. He will make his official debut Wednesday on SEC Network’s coverage of Media Days live from Birmingham at 11 a.m. ET.

“Having been a part of college basketball for over 28 years as both a player and a coach, including the last 12 seasons as a head coach in the SEC, I’m very excited to join the team at the SEC Network,” Kennedy said. “Coming off an unprecedented season with eight SEC teams earning NCAA Tournament bids, this league has never been better.”

Kennedy spent the last 12 seasons pacing the court in eccentric suits and shoes for the Ole Miss Rebels. In 2007, he was named SEC Coach of the Year and sits as the all-time winningest coach in program history with 245 wins. During his time at Ole Miss, he clenched 11 postseason victories and won the 2013 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament. Prior to arriving in Oxford, Kennedy spent five years coaching at Cincinnati (2001-06).
