The Ole Miss soccer team travels to the bayou Thursday, Oct. 11 to face LSU on the pitch. This game airs on the SEC Network at 7 p.m.

Ole Miss comes into the match at No. 6 in the conference with 10 points, sitting at 3-2-1 in the league. The team recently clenched a 3-1 victory at home over Arkansas.

Senior CeCe Kizer was involved in all three goals against the Razorbacks through two assists and one attempt. She leads the SEC in goals (12) and points (30), ranking second in both categories.

LSU currently sits tied for seventh in the SEC with seven points, sitting at 8-5-1 overall. The Tigers have enjoyed playing in front of their home crowd, posting a 5-1-1 mark at the LSU Soccer Stadium. The Tigers’ lone loss on their home field came in the season-opener—a 2-1 overtime loss to Villanova.

While the Tigers have only been shut out twice on the year, they rank 10th in the SEC with 19 goals. Defensively, LSU ranks dead middle in the SEC in terms of goals allowed.

The Tigers are led in scoring by sophomore Florida State transfer Adrienne Richardson, who has found the back of the net six times this season. Richardson has taken just under a quarter of LSU’s shots, making 54 attempts on the season. Junior midfielder Marlena Cutura has been involved in six goals for the Tigers, scoring three and assisting on another three, while freshman midfielder Abbey Newton has also scored a trio of goals.

Senior goalkeeper Caroline Brockmeier has played every second this season, registering 0.97 goals against average with a .808 save percentage on 59 stops.

When the Rebels and the Tigers take the pitch on Thursday the all-time series will be knotted at 10-10-4. LSU built an advantage during a five-match unbeaten streak against Ole Miss from 2008-2012. The Rebels have the upper hand in the series winning the last four of five contests.
