Oxford Police Department issued 52 tickets, investigated 15 wrecks and the following reports:

22 alarms
5 ambulance assists
4 animal complaints
1 burglary
5 careless driving complaints
4 civil matters
2 credit card frauds
14 disturbing the peace complaints
1 domestic disturbance
4 fire department assists
1 harassment
3 improper parking complaints
3 K9 searches
3 larcenies
6 lost properties
3 malicious mischief complaints
2 motorist assists
1 phone harassment
1 property damage
2 simple assaults
13 suspicious activities
5 suspicious people
2 suspicious vehicles

OPD officers made the following arrests:
1 domestic violence with simple assault
1 DUI and careless driving
2 DUI, careless driving and speeding
1 DUI, no driver’s license and speeding
1 DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to yield
1 fake DUI and wrong way on a one-way road
1 minor in possession of alcohol
1 minor in possession of alcohol, open container and speeding
2 noise violations
1 open container
2 possession of fake IDs
1 possession of a schedule 2 drug and careless driving
1 possession of a schedule 2 drug and possession of a schedule 1 drug
1 possession of marijuana in a vehicle and speeding
1 possession of drug paraphernalia
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and expired tag
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and open container
9 public drunks
1 public drunk and open container
1 public drunk and trespassing
1 warrant served
1 warrant served, no seat belt and improper display

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck and the following reports:

2 petty thefts
9 suspicious activities
4 welfare concerns
4 transports
1 information
1 reckless driving
1 standby
1 animal complaint
6 disturbances
1 phone harassment
1 trespassing
2 informational reports
3 alarms
1 juvenile complaint
1 sexual assault
1 traffic complaint
2 civil matters

Deputies made the following reports:
1 domestic violence with simple assault
1 domestic violence with simple assault and possession of meth
1 traffic checkpoint/arrest

University Police Department investigated three wrecks and the following reports:
8 ambulance assists
1 vandalism to a vehicle
5 suspicious people
1 possession of alcohol by a person under 21
2 malicious mischief complaints
1 vehicle burglary
1 disturbance
1 possession of drug paraphernalia

UPD officers made the following arrests:
1 possession of drug paraphernalia
1 intoxicated person
1 simple assault on an officer, resisting arrest, failure to comply and disturbing the peace
1 DUI-other substance and possession of drug paraphernalia
1 possession of drug paraphernalia

Oxford Fire Department reports were unavailable Tuesday,
10/5 – 2:46 p.m. – 2307 West Jackson area – 3 car wreck with the subject in the middle car requested to be checked out by EMS
10/5 – 5:24 p.m. – 412 University Ave. – someone fainted in front of the museum while waiting on the parade
10/5 – 5:41 p.m. – The Thompson House – steam cleaning clothes activated a smoke detector
10/5 – 10:14 p.m. – The Graduate room 216 – smoke detector malfunction
10/6 – 1:23 a.m. – EMS call – assist loading a patient
10/6 – 2:48 a.m. – The Marks #21 – smoke detector malfunction
10/6 – 10:14 a.m.- Hwy. 7 / Industrial Park area – wreck with injuries
10/6 – 8:16 p.m.- Walgreens – a box accidentally – bumped the pull station fire alarm
10/6 – 11:18 p.m.- Oxford Conference Center – a smoke machine activated a smoke detector
10/7 – 8:27 a.m. – BMH – call canceled
10/7 – 1:15 p.m. – Stewart Hall room 509 – smoke detector malfunction
10/7 – 5:20 & 5:51 p.m. – St. Anthony’s Hall meeting room – smoke detector malfunction
10/7 – 5:31 p.m. – Oxford Outpatient Treatment Center
