The Ole Miss volleyball team returns home to the Gillom Athletics Performance Center this evening to play host to the Memphis Tigers. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.

This evening, the Rebels will honor several different service branches, including the Oxford Police Department, the Oxford Fire Department, Baptist Doctors and Nurses, and the University of Mississippi Police Department on the anniversary of Sept. 11. The Pride of the South will also be in attendance.

Ole Miss (9-1) enters after sweeping the Georgia State Invitational over the weekend.

Junior Emily Stroup took home the Georgia State Invitational MVP crown, her second straight tournament crown. Her .481 hitting efficiency against Chicago State was a season-best, and the second best hitting percentage of her career. Stroup committed just three attack errors in 52 attempts across the first two matches, and led the Rebels comeback in the final set against Chicago State, where she registered seven kills on a .778 clip.

Head coach Steven McRoberts’ club is looking for their 13 consecutive victory inside Gillom that dates back to Nov. 5, 2017 against in-state rival Mississippi State 3-1.

The Tigers arrive in Oxford on a four match win streak, most recently sweeping North Alabama in Memphis’ home tournament. The team carries an overall record of 6-5 and is led by sophomore right side Hannah Flowers. Flowers tops the team in kills (139), hitting percentage (.310), and ranks 13th in the country with 27 service aces. The Tigers are led at the line defensively by senior Kelsey Walter, who has 55 total blocks.
Ole Miss and Memphis will meet for the 68th time in series history Tuesday. The Rebels hold a 36-31 advantage, having most recently faced off against the Tigers in Coach McRoberts first season at the helm, winning 3-2 at Memphis in 2014.
