Oxford Police Department issued 64 tickets and investigated seven wrecks the following reports:

1 ambulance assist
1 burglary
1 careless driving
2 civil matters
2 disturbing the peace complaints
2 improper parking complaints
1 motorist assist
1 petty theft
1 public drunk
1 reported DUI
1 suspicious person
1 suspicious vehicle
4 welfare checks
Officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI-second, failure to yield, no driver’s license and no insurance
2 possessions of a fake ID
1 public drunk
1 public drunk and possession of a fake ID
1 warrant served, open container and no tag
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department made no arrests and investigated the following reports:
3 alarms
1 harassment
1 service call
1 sexual assault
1 suspicious activity
3 welfare concerns
1 scam
2 information
1 unauthorized use of a vehicle
1 reckless driving
4 road obstructions
1 civil matter
1 stolen property
University Police Department investigated seven wrecks, made seven traffic stops and investigated the following reports:
3 intoxicated people
2 medical calls
1 suspicious person
UPD officers made the following arrests:
2 for public drunk and fake OD
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
At 11:33 – Fred’s – subject passed out – assisted EMS with loading the patient
At 1:11 – Cook Out area of Jackson Ave. – wreck with injuries – provided 1st aid stood by for EMS
At 3 p.m. – ATO house #7 – smoke detector malfunction
At 6:04 p.m. – 108 Nelson Circle – assist EMS with lifting a patient
At 8:29 p.m. – Minor Hall – subject with severe stomach pains – stood by for EMS
At 12:23 this morning – Northgate B206 – smoke detector malfunction
At 03:08 this morning – 902 Molly Barr No. 6 – chest pains – took vitals and stood by for EMS
