Ole Miss women’s golf team is set to take to the links for the upcoming 2018-19 season. On Monday they announced the schedule.

“We are extremely excited to kick off our season in the upcoming weeks,” said head coach Kory Henkes. “We have a schedule that will allow us to play in some of the best tournaments all over the country, as well as the Dominican Republic.

“We’ll compete against top-notch teams week in and week out that will really push our players to put their best foot forward in every tournament. Our team consists of a talented group who are happy to be back on campus and eager to get started with practice this week.”

The Rebels will open the season at the Mercedes Benz Collegiate Championship, Sept. 17-18, in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The Rebels begin a busy October by heading out west to the Ron Moore Women’s Intercollegiate (Oct. 5-7) in Denver, Colorado, then return home to Mississippi to co-host the Magnolia Invitational in West Point on Oct. 14-16.

Ole Miss heads to Louisville for the Cardinal Cup (Oct. 20-21), before heading to San Marcos, Texas for the Jim West Challenge, hosted by Texas State, on Oct. 28-29.

To kick off the spring, Ole Miss travels to California for the Bruin Wave Invitational (Feb. 25-26).

The Rebels travel internationally to the Dominican Republic for the Tar Heel Classic from March 15-16, before heading back to the states for the Evans Derby Experience (March 23-25) in Auburn, Alabama.

The Bruzzy (Apr. 1-2), hosted by North Texas, begins the month of April. The Liz Murphy Collegiate Classic (Apr. 11-13), hosted by the University of Georgia, is the final tune-up before the conference championship.

The SEC Championship returns to Greystone Golf Club in Birmingham, Alabama. The Rebels will look to improve upon an 11th place finish from a year ago. Julia Johnson was the top finisher individually, finishing in 8th and one over par for the tournament.
