Oxford Film Festival Accepting Submissions for 2014

Filmmakers can take advantage of early bird pricing.

Oxford Film Festival is now accepting submissions for the 11^th annual film festival to be held in Oxford February 6 to 9, 2014.

The festival has created a new submission process for the 2014 festival. The festival has created its own online form on its website with flat rates and only two deadlines: September 15, 2013 for “early bird” pricing, and November 15, 2013 for “regular pricing.” The reduced costs for both the filmmaker and festival will allow more funds raised by the nonprofit to put toward the event instead of overhead costs.

Early bird pricing begins July 1 to Sept. 15 and is $15 for short films, $30 for feature films and $5 for Mississippi music videos. Regular pricing is from Sept. 16 to Nov. 15 and is $25 for short films, $40 for feature films and $5 for music videos.

Fee waivers are only granted to invited films and festival alumni.

Founded in 2003 as a project of the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council, the Oxford Film Festival is an independent non-profit 501c3 organization committed to celebrating the art of independent cinema. The Oxford Film Festival entertains and educates its participants, providing residents and visitors with the opportunity to watch independent films as well as to meet the filmmakers and learn from industry professionals.
