A new app will allow parents to check on their children to make sure they got on and off the school bus each day and what time their bus will be picking them up and dropping them off.

Here Comes the Bus,” is a bus and student tracking tool that keeps parents informed that their child is safe as they travel to and from school.

Students in the Oxford School District use their bus pass, issued by the school, to scan as they get on the bus. The app then tells you that your child is on the bus and when they get off and at what stop.

The app is free to all parents. Simply download the “Here Comes the Bus” app from the App Store or Google Play, and then sign up for an account online at www.herecomesthebus.com using the School Code 87494, then add each student you want to track.

The app is available in three languages and will show the real-time location of each bus; scheduled and actual bus arrival times at home and school; confirmation that your child’s bus arrived at the bus stop and/or school; scan data including bus number and time and location of the scan.

Users will also receive notifications and email alerts when a bus has entered the radius around the home stuff or has been substituted; your child scans on and off the bus or any important information that needs to be relayed to parents.

When adding the student’s ID into the app, leave off the beginning zeros when putting in the number.
