Oxford Man Faces DUI 4th
An Oxford man was arrested Wednesday, July 25 for allegedly driving under the influence. During the stop, OPD discovered he had several prior DUI convictions.
According to reports, at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, an officer with the Oxford Police Department pulled over a vehicle on Pegues Road.
The driver, Andre Jones, 48, was suspected of driving under the influence and a DUI investigation was conducted. The officer learned that Jones had at least five prior DUI convictions on his driving record.
Jones was charged with felony DUI, no driver’s license, no insurance and vehicle noise violation and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $10,000 bond.
