Oxford Man Arrested for Kidnapping

On Friday, the Oxford Police Department arrested a man for allegedly strangling and kidnapping someone.
OPD officers responded to a home on Old Taylor Road for a reported domestic disturbance. When they arrived, officers spoke to Patrick Pratt, 21, of Oxford inside the home. After questioning Pratt, officers determined that he had strangled the victim and held them against their will.
He was arrested and charged with kidnapping and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $35,000 bond.
