Diamond Rebel Tyler Keenan Tabbed Freshman All-American by Perfect Game

Ole Miss third baseman Tyler Keenan was named Freshman All-American by Perfect Game on Thursday.
Keenan had a stellar rookie season at the hot corner for the Rebels. The Clayton, North Carolina, native was the only freshman in the Southeastern Conference to be named Player of the Week. He also brought home two SEC Freshman of the Week awards and is the first Ole Miss freshman to win Player of the Week since Alex Presley in 2004.
This season, Keenan finished with a .301 batting average over 54 games and 50 starts. He recorded 11 doubles and nine home runs, driving in 38 and scoring 35. Keenan had a .520 slugging percentage, the third-best on the Ole Miss roster, and his .911 OPS was fourth on the team.
In conference play, Keenan hit .326 with a team-best six home runs and 24 RBIs. He added eight doubles and slugged .600 in league competition.
His defensive plays were vacuum-like at third base, only making 5 errors in 65 games.
