Ole Miss Volleyball Announces Spring Schedule
The Rebels will kick off the spring schedule hosting Memphis April 3 at the Gillom Athletics Performance Center. First serve is set for 7 p.m., and fans can arrive early to take photos with the NIVC trophy.
Following the match against Memphis, the Rebels will travel to Mobile, Alabama on April 7 for a tournament, where they will face Southern Miss, Florida State, LSU and Samford.
The Rebels will conclude spring competition with a home match against South Alabama on April 14 at 11 a.m., before traveling to Conway, Arkansas on April 15 to face Central Arkansas at 1 p.m.
“It will be a very challenging spring for our team,” head coach Steven McRoberts said. “We are playing great competition and that will allow us to get a quality evaluation on all of the players that we currently have on campus. It is also nice to have a couple of spring matches at home.”
In 2017, the Rebels equaled the most wins (22-14) in program history in the rally era and earned their first postseason win on their way to capturing the NIVC Championship. The team set single-season records for kills, assists, digs and blocks, while several individuals also set career and single-season records.
The Rebels have 13 returnees from the 2017 squad including single-season record holders Emily Stroup and Caroline Adams. Setters Jordan Fate and Lauren Bars are back to direct the offense as well as middle blockers Nayo Warnell and Bayleigh Scott leading the front row defense.
