David Berg Signs ‘Run, Brother, Run’ in Oxford
David Berg has a reading at Square Books in Oxford (Wednesday) at 5:30 p.m.. Berg is a lawyer from Houston whose brother was murdered in the sixties. In his memoir, he works through those events, including the murder trial of hit man/serial killer Charles Harrelson (who died in prison for the murder of a federal judge, and who is Woody Harrelson’s father) for the murder of his brother.
A story about all this on NPR last Saturday caught my attention. There’s also a good New York Times story. I’ve just made a good start on the book, and like it so far. I’ll be there, and think it will be a good one.
This is the blog of Tom Freeland, a lawyer in Oxford, Mississippi. The subjects of this blog are, generally, Mississippi law, politics, culture, history, food, music, literature, and anything else that catches either my attention or that of the readers too.
