Vassallo: Signs of Spring Have Arrived at Austin’s Shoes

One of the first signs of spring each year is when many trade in their pants and coats for sandals and shorts. These brave souls will be proud to know that the latest fashions for spring have arrived at Austin’s Shoes here in Oxford.

“The trendiest new brands at our store are from Marc Fisher, JSlides and Tretorn,” said Austin McElwain, store manager. “We have received new shipments daily in preparation for spring and the early Easter season.”
A large selection of sandals from Volatile and Mia can be found at Austin’s Shoes as well.
Easter is April 1 this year, and it may sneak up on some moms. A great selection of new sandals from Sun Sand and classic looks from Keds will cover most kids. Other popular brands for older kids at Austin’s Shoes are Olukai shoes for boys and Birkenstock and Chaco sandals in the latest patterns for girls.
Men have not been forgotten at Austin’s Shoes thanks to the updated new styles from Cole Haan and Johnston Murphy.
“We have always had the classic styles covered by Clarks and Cole Haan with shoes like driving mocs, but some guys may want to up their game with new Oxford styles in spring designs,” McElwain said.
The new trend of athletic-inspired dress shoes are really fresh this year. New selections from New Balance are very much on trend.
Some customers who remember the saying about April showers will be ready to take advantage of the special values found in the large clearance selection of Hunter boots that can be found at very reasonable prices. And yes, they do have raincoats from Columbia to keep you covered.
“We are really happy with the reception Oxford has given our new store and continue to meet new customers every day,” McElwain said. “We are looking forward to an early spring and hope to see a few more.”
