DUI, K9 Search and More in Today's Crime Report

Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: 911 hang up, 11 alarms, two ambulance assist, auto-burglary, nine careless driving, two civil matters, five disturbing the peace, two domestic disturbance, fire department assist, four improper parking, two K9 search, two larceny, lost property, two motorist assist, 11 noise violations, other agency assist recovered property, shoplifting, three simple assault, six suspicious activity, eight suspicious person, suspicious vehicle, three welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated  17 accident, 98 tickets and made the following arrests:
Two Domestic Violence-Simple Assault
DUI 1st, Careless Driving
DUI 1st, MIP. Wrong way on a one way
DUI 1st, No headlights
DUI 1st, No Tag
DUI 1st, Speeding, No driver’s license
No Driver’s License, No Insurance, One headlight
No Driver’s License, No Insurance, Wrong way on a one way
Petit Larceny
Six Public Drunks
Shoplifting
Simple Assault
Two Trespassing
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Five accidents, aggravated assault, seven alarms, animal complaint, commercial burglary, 12 disturbances, petit larceny, four harassment, malicious mischief, seven service calls, nine suspicious activities, four welfare concerns, three transports, information, follow up, fraud, reckless driving, two civil matters, grass fire, traffic detail.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made two arrests
Trespassing, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest
No driver’s license
Oxford Fire Department:
2/2 – 09:23 – Anderson Hall – burned bagel in a microwave
2/2 – 10:13 – ATO house – sweeping activated a basement smoke detector
2/2 – 14:09 – State Veterans Home – call canceled
2/2 – 17:53 – University Parking Garage – call canceled
2/3 – 04:59 – 20230 area of Hwy. 6 Panola County line – wreck – no entrapment
2/4 – 14:00 – Pi Kappa Alpha house – alarm panel showing kitchen carbon monoxide detector trouble
2/4 – 19:17 – 103 Miller’s Landing – caller stated her stove caught fire, the fire was out, but she needed FD to come reset her alarm
University Police Department responded to the following incidents:
Willful trespassing, running a stop sign, 14 vehicle stop, ambulance needed, trespass, burglary alarm, possession of paraphernalia, motor vehicle accident, intoxicated person.
