Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 Hang up, 13 alarms, four ambulance assist, four animal complaints, burglary-building, seven careless driving, two civil matters, 10 disturbing the peace, two domestic disturbance, five fire department assist, forgery, grand larceny, harassing phone calls, two improper parking, K9 search, two malicious mischief, seven motorist assist, noise violation-vehicle, other agency assist, two public drunk, three simple assault, 23 suspicious activity, three suspicious person, two suspicious vehicles, trespassing, five welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated 13 accident, 56 tickets and made the following arrests:

DUI 1st, Ran a Red Light
Possession of Controlled Substance, No Insurance, No Driver’s License

Possession of Paraphernalia, Speeding, No Insurance
Three Public Drunk
Warrant served, Suspended License, No Tag
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Three accidents, aggravated assault, 11 alarms, five animal complaints, eight disturbances, domestic violence, malicious mischief, 18 service calls, nine suspicious activities, three welfare concerns, scam, three transports, trespassing, two follow up, two unauthorized use of vehicle, seven reckless driving, three civil matters.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made five arrests
Running a stop sign, suspended driver’s license
Sale of controlled substance
Suspended driver’s license
Civil contempt
Domestic violence, simple assault
Oxford Fire Department:
1/26 – 07:47 – SWM Manufacturing – trash compactor fire – fire was out before FD arrived
1/26 – 10:05 – 100 American Eagle Way – EMS call canceled
1/26 – 13:48 – Hwy. 6 W / West Jackson Ave. – wreck with injuries call – no injuries
1/26 – 17:30 – CR 1033 – extinguished about 500 ft. of grass fire
1/27 – 08:28 – The Flats South Campus (old University Trails) Bldg. 12 – someone broke the fire alarm pull station
1/27 – 18:18 – Sigma Chi house room 105 – smoking activated the smoke detector
1/27 – 19:02 – University Ave. / South Lamar – wreck – no injuries
1/27 – 23:20 – 233 Highland Place area – resident called and said there was an alarm activation in the area – no audible alarm found
1/28 – 09:24 – CB Webb Bldg. 944 Apt. 1 – resident advised there was some kind of smell making her sick – FD used a gas monitor and didn’t find anything
1/28 – 12:53 – Hermitage Gardens – a resident pulled a fire alarm
1/28 – 14:16 – 717 Nottingham Dr. – cooking activated the living room area smoke detector
1/28 – 21:03 – 220 PR 1107 – Keystone Cottages – call canceled – location actually in the county
University Police Department responded to the following incidents:
Simple assault, malicious mischief, disturbance, nine vehicle stop, DUI, ambulance needed, intoxicated person, suspicious person, public drunk, credit card fraud, running a stop sign.
