Mimosas, Dapper Dogs, and Volta Breakfast
Humane Society canine fashion show fundraiser features Drive-By bartender.
Saturday mornings in the summer can be pretty quiet. But at Volta Taverna this Saturday morning, June 15, from 9 to 11:30, Oxonians can take their dapper dogs sport dashing fashions to strut on the runway at a fundraiser for the Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society, with Drive-By Truckers bassist Matt Patton slinging mimosas and Bloody Marys for the grown-ups. For small fries, there will be a kiddie manicure tent, a guess-the-number-of-gumballs contest, chalk drawing, animal balloons, and temporary tattoos. Hollywood Feed will hold giveaways of holistic pet food products.
Oxford photographer Brandall Atkinson will photograph the preening pups on the runway while Volta serves breakfast for humans. Dog treats will also be sold.
Volta Taverna is located at 710 North Lamar.
