Rebels Drop a 97-93 Barnburner at Arkansas
Ole Miss lit up the scoreboard with more than 90 points against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to pick up the win as they fell 97-93.
Terrance Davis had a monstrous road game against the Razorbacks with 30 points and five rebounds.
Ole Miss (10-9, 3-4 SEC) put up 55 points in the second half to cut into the 12-point deficit they had in the opening 20 minutes.
At the half, Arkansas took a 50-38 lead into the locker room.
Ole Miss showcased a 1-3-1 defense in the second half that allowed Arkansas to score only 47 points.
Three other Rebels scored in double figures, with Brieen Tyree putting up 16 points and teammates Deandre Burnett and Bruce Stevens adding 15 each.
Ole Miss got within four points, but Arkansas closed the door on the Rebels by causing turnovers and keeping up a high-octane offensive charge.
Arkansas shot 55 percent from the field and held the Rebels to 48 percent. From behind the arc the Razorbacks hit 50 percent.
The Rebels return to action on Tuesday as they host Alabama.
