Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 hang up, two abandon vehicle, five alarms, two ambulance assists, two civil matters, disturbing the peace, seven fire department, two lost property, two motorist assist, four petit larceny, shoplifting, four suspicious activity, suspicious vehicles, trespassing, three welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated seven accident, 11 tickets and made the following arrests:
DUI 1st, Harassing Phone Calls
DUI 1st, No Insurance, Possession of Schedule 2 Drug, Improper Equipment
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Accident, four alarms, animal complaint, two disturbances, grand larceny, malicious mischief, six service calls, four welfare concerns, scam, five transports, trespassing, traffic complaint, reckless driving, civil matter, house fire.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department:
06:55 – Chancery Clerk Building – waterflow alarm malfunction
07:13 – Kroger Fuel Center – computer backup battery caught fire
09:18 – Captain D’s – manager said no alarm had been activated
10:10 – Kappa Alpha House – smoke detector call was cancelled
10:47 – New Hospital – Cooking activated a kitchen smoke detector
11:25 – Sprinkler heads activated due to frozen pipes
12:22 – Winchester – call cancelled
13:04 – Vaught Hemingway South End Zone – busted water pipe
15:02 – The Blake – they were having a Fire Drill
17:45 – Faulkner Flats Bldg. 10 – busted water pipe
18:56 – Campus Creek Bldg. 3 – repairing they alarm system
19:18 – 1213 Azalea Cove – CO2 detector beeping – bad battery
