Will Oxford Get Some Real Snow Tonight? NWS Thinks So
The first arctic blast of 2018 hit the Oxford and North Mississippi area on Friday. Now another one looks ready to hit the area tonight and all the way into the morning.
According to the National Weather Service in Memphis, an arctic weather front will head into this afternoon and evening, bringing along with it snowfall to the area.
Snow accumulations are expected to be between two and three inches for Oxford and Lafayette County. The conditions could make Tuesday morning’s commute difficult and possibly hazardous.
Temperatures over the next two days will likely stay below freezing, and nightly lows will be around 8 and 13 degrees respectively.
