Discharging Fireworks in the City Limits, K9 Search, and More in Today's Crime Report

Oxford police responded to the following calls: Two 911 hang ups, 10 alarms, discharging fireworks in the city limits, disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, four fire department assist, improper parking, K9 search, larceny, petit larceny, shoplifting, suspicious person, suspicious vehicle, two welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated  four accident, 20 tickets and made the following arrest:
Simple assault
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Accident, six alarms, animal complaint, three disturbances, petit larceny, three service calls, two transports, two reckless driving.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made one arrests

09:50 – 204 Glenwood Cove – general fire alarm malfunction
10:42 – Fred’s – front smoke detector malfunction
12:44 – 1100 Augusta Drive #5 – busted water pipe
13:16 – University Physical Plant – call cancelled
The Connection – Bldg. 11, 13, 5 busted water pipes
15:27 – The Village Bldg 108 – busted water pipe
15:32 – The Hub Bldg 3 – busted water pipe
15:35 – The Retreat Clubhouse & apt. 124 – busted water pipes
16:21 – The Domain Apt. 3 – busted water pipe
16:24 – Pi Beta Phi house – busted water pipe
16:55 – 124 Price St. – busted water line
17:24 – Oxford Health & Rehab – workers set off the fire alarm
17:52 – Natural products – buster water lines
18:00 – 430 B Martin Luther King Jr. Circle – busted water pipe
18:54 – ATO house – busted water pipe
00:45 – University Physical Plant – water flow alarm malfunction
00:59 – 1100 Augusta Dr. #6 – busted water pipe
