Careless Driving, Simple Assault, and More in Today's Crime Report

Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 Hang up, two alarms, ambulances assist, careless driving, disturbing the peace, embezzlement, improper parking, simple assault, suspicious activity, two suspicious person.
Oxford police investigated  nine accident, five tickets and made the following arrest:
DUI 1st, careless driving
DUI 1st, Expired Tag, No driver’s license
DUI 1st, Ran a stop sign, No insurance
Possession of Paraphernalia
Warrant served, No driver’s license
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Five accidents, aggravated assault, three alarms, two animal complaints, auto burglaries, disturbance, petit larceny, two harassment, two service calls, three suspicious activities, welfare concern, two transports, trespassing.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made two arrests
Contempt warrants
Oxford Fire Department:
12/13 – 07:06 – 720 A North Lamar – call cancelled
12/14 – 12:21 – Tri-Delta House – workers activated the fire alarm
