The Season Ole Miss Football: Egg Bowl Week
This week’s episode of the Season Ole Miss Football features the Rebels taking on Mississippi State in the annual Egg Bowl.
The Rebels traveled into Starkville to end the season with a .500 record at 6-6 on the year. Ole Miss’ season would come to a close after the game due to a self-imposed bowl ban during the NCAA investigation.
Prior to taking on the Bulldogs on Thanksgiving night, position groups of the Rebels gave baskets to families in need.
Here’s a look back at one of the greatest Egg Bowls when Ole Miss became bowl eligible in 1997. In this game, Cory Peterson caught the go-ahead, two-point conversion to win 16-15 in Starkville.
