The Ole Miss soccer team closes out the 2017 regular season home slate tonight as they host the Alabama Crimson Tide for senior night.

Ole Miss heads into this week after a pair of matches against Auburn and Mississippi State that ended in draws. The Rebels have clinched a spot in the 2017 SEC Tournament.
“It was a crazy week for us,” said Ole Miss head coach Matt Mott. “It started with Auburn last Thursday in a really wild game. We went up 1-0 early in the match with a great goal from CeCe Kizer, then they equalized in the first half. In the second half we got up 2-1 on a penalty kick that Gabby Little drew and CeCe finished. We gave up an equalizer with about 20 minutes to go on a free kick that they hit really well and then, unfortunately, we took a red card from Ella Johnson, which really put the game on its head a little bit.“
Four Ole Miss seniors’ Courtney Carroll, Bella Fiorenzo, Danielle Gray and Liza Harbin will all be honored on the pitch for there dedication to the Rebel program. Over the past four years, the senior class has amassed an overall record of 41-26-12 and has never lost to SEC foes Auburn, Alabama or Magnolia Cup rival Mississippi State.
The Crimson Tide comes into tonight’s match with an 11-6-1 record, including a 3-5-1 mark in SEC play. Alabama has been on a roll as of late, winning three straight games to put itself squarely in the field for the SEC tournament. The Tide is led in scoring by Abbie Boswell with eight goals, while Emma Welch and Celia Jimenez Delgado have registered seven and six assists, respectively. Kat Stratton has played all 1,656 minutes in goal, posting 1.25 goals against average with five shutouts.
The Rebels lead the all-time series with Alabama 16-7, throughout the last twelve matches Ole Miss has dominated the rivalry by winning the last 11 games.
