If Ole Miss fans have their way, Les Miles will be the Rebels’ new coach when they wake up on Sunday morning.
The fallout stems from another one-sided loss, this time a 40-24 home defeat at the hands of No. 24 LSU.
Ole Miss now is 3-4 (1-3 SEC) under Matt Luke, who replaced the embattled Hugh Freeze prior to the start of the season.
The Rebels faithful are particularly miffed after Luke’s decision to put quarterback Shea Patterson back in the game after the sophomore left early in the contest with an apparent knee injury. Patterson finished with 113 yards and 3 interceptions.
Check out what Ole Miss fans are saying about the performance and join the conversation here.

Michael Green: New coaches please!!!
Brad Martin: Never should have put Patterson back in after the first half with a bad leg. Ta’Amu did good. He should have started the 2nd half. And where the Hell was our D? Did they fall asleep on the bus before the game? Tough year for us.
Henry Fountain: Time for that new coach for the millions that time……
Richard Joslin: Hire Les Miles!!!
Priscilla Berry: Looks like the Landsharks are the puppies.
Jim Shempert: Hire Les Miles tomorrow.
Robert Anne: Yeah… they suck… we cleared this week’s ago but when they somehow pull one out, or beat weak ass teams… people get all way over their heads.
Eric Holaday: After that defensive effort, don’t think we can continue with the land shark mascot
Richard O Cox: Yes hire Les Miles tomorow should not have put Patterson back in.
Nicole Warren: I really like our backup QB, wish he could have played a little more tonight
Michael Wright: Bad. Should’ve pulled Shea when it was clear he was hurt.
Brad N Heather Chandler: Shea was hurt…is hurt…dropped passes…lost momentum…game.
Henley Scooby Hughes: Shea is simply overrated. He was off before the “injury” and has looked bad since the Cal game. Linebackers need their scholarships pulled. Longo needs to go back to FCS. He’s in over his head. McGriff is an awful DC. Death penalty doesn’t sound too bad at this point….or just move to the Sun Belt. Might have a slight chance in that conference.
Gregg Blann: Out maned out gunned, go Rebels.
Glenn Breland: The best QB at OM is not Shea Patterson. If OM want to win more games, then going forward Ta’Amu, not sure about the name, but I am about his play, he is a better QB. I was a big fan of Shea, but after I saw No. 10 play, he is way better and should be the starter from here on out. That kid is really good. Just another reason why Luke isn’t a head coach. You would have to be blind or just plain stupid not to see.

Those new helmets the Rebels wore Saturday are absolutely horrible.
The revival of the light blue helmets was a terrific idea. Now, somebody has screwed it up.
