The Hitting Specialty Camp will take place on Dec. 9-10 this year, while the Pitching/Catching Specialty Camp is set for Dec. 16-17. Both camps are scheduled to be conducted at Oxford-University Stadium along with other athletic facilities both on campus and in the surrounding area.
Ole Miss Baseball Camps are designed with a clear commitment to improve the game performance of baseball players of all ages and skill levels. Campers will receive instruction from some of the area’s top coaches that are dedicated to the development and growth of all campers. Camps are open to any and all entrants grades 1-12.
The Hitting Specialty Camp on Dec. 9-10 will treat campers to a wide array of instruction trained to improve their game at the plate. Proper stance, swing mechanics, bunting and base running are just a few of the many skills that will be taught at the camp. Campers will also learn about the mental aspect of hitting and what is required in the weight room for success.
The Pitching/Catching Specialty Camp, which takes place on Dec. 16-17, offers campers extensive instruction on pitching or catching for all grades and skill levels. Aspiring pitchers will learn proper pitching mechanics, grips, signals, pickoff moves and much more. Catchers will be taught receiving, blocking, throwing to bases and calling pitches. Both pitchers and catchers will also learn useful weight training techniques.
Lunch will be provided to all on Saturday only, and campers are responsible for bringing their own glove, cleats, and hat.
