Cyberstalking, Sexual Battery And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 hang up, three alarm, civil matter, cyberstalking, two disturbing the peace, harassing phone calls, improper parking, larceny, noise violation, other agency assist, shoplifting, two suspicious activity, two suspicious person, welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated seven accidents, 34 tickets and made the following arrest:
Disorderly conduct
MIP, possession of paraphernalia, ran stop sign
2 public drunks
2 shoplifting’s
trespassing
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Simple assault, three alarms, residential burglary, two disturbances, four harassment, juvenile complaint, malicious mischief, two service calls, suspicious activities, three welfare concerns, scam transport, trespassing, two follow-up, reckless driving, five papers served.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made five arrests
Disorderly conduct
Driving while license suspended, no insurance
warrant, the sale of a controlled substance
2 writs to take custody
Oxford Fire Department:
10:57 – AOPi house – call cancelled
15:45 – 1801 West Jackson Ave. area – wreck – no entrapment or injuries
17:31 – Vincent Boot and Shoes – smell of smoke in the store – nothing found
22:39 – 303 Woodlawn – possible stroke – ambulance and FD arrived at the same time – FD didn’t do anything
University Police: Ambulance needed, sexual battery, EMS, six vehicle stops, accident hit and run, burglary, harassment, assist with traffic.
