Careless Driving, Credit Card Fraud And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Two alarms, animal complaint, careless driving, credit card fraud, disturbing the peace, harassing phone call, improper parking, lost property, motorist assist, two noise violations, two simple assault, two suspicious activity, three suspicious person.
Oxford police investigated five wrecks, issued 27 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
DUI 1st, One Headlight
DUI 1st, No Headlight
Possession of paraphernalia, public drunk, disorderly conduct
Shoplifting
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Three accidents, three alarms, three animal complaints, auto burglary, five disturbances, two petit larceny, three harassment, juvenile complaint, two service calls, two suspicious activities, trespassing, information, two traffic complaints, three civil matters, natural cause of death.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made one arrests
Two counts of sale of controlled substance
Oxford Fire Department:
A heat sensor malfunction in the Student Union.
Male employee has shortness of breath and chest pains—checked vitals and administered oxygen until Priority Ambulance arrived at Handy Andy.
Water tamper switch malfunction at AOPi House.
A smoke detector beeping from a low battery at 1211 Access Road.
A heat sensor malfunction again at the Student Union.
University Police: Motor vehicle accident, harassment, fake id, suspicious person, possession of drug paraphernalia, ambulance needed, assist with traffic, vehicle stop.
